As part of the work I did for the Cincinnati Men's Chorus over the years, I produced a number of video pieces for social media promotion of concerts. Typically the marketing coordinator of the Chorus would provide the video footage for each piece, and I would attempt to clean it up and add effects and titles. While rough, we aimed to leverage the hand-made feel to lean into the autentic fun and plucky "let's put on a show!" energy.
This video was a promo for their 2022 holiday concert titled "Family", and was their first one after lockdown lifted. The goal was to keep it silly and fun, but also nostalgic and retrospective.
The other two concerts in the series were "Friends" and "Lovers" as a way of exploring different kinds of loving relationships through song.
This promo was for the concert "Accentuate the Positive" which was a look at the history of the AIDS crisis and to celebrate the progress that has been made in making HIV a livable disease. Not exactly a simple or easy vibe to convey and they wanted to focus a lot on education.
This video was part of a series featuring chorus members on a children's educational show interacting with the puppet "Miss Information"
This was a very basic animated promo for "God Save the Dancing Queens" which focused on British pop and disco music.
A fun video for the "Haul out the Holly" holiday concert. We weren't able to shoot video, but had decent audio so I took to Adobe Character Animator to create a Holiday Special segment. I wrote the script for this segment as well.
A post-lockdown quick video animation of the mask coming off the CMC logo, which had been in place for their virtual concerts during the pandemic. As many of the chorus members and fans are over 50, Covid was a very large concern for the organization and they wanted to celebrate a return to in-person concerts.
